Greywater Systems
Why not put your greywater to good use instead of letting it go down the drain? Direct water from baths, showers, bathroom basins, and laundry to a Calcamite greywater system to make it safe for irrigation.
Our Range of Greywater Systems
Our greywater systems allow you to manage and safely recycle your greywater for irrigation purposes and are ideal for homeowners who are looking for a simple, cost-effective way to reduce domestic water consumption.
Supplied pre-assembled and ready-for-installation, these plug and play greywater systems have been designed with ease of operation and maintenance in mind. Each greywater system design consists of a tank which is installed underground to collect the greywater, a submersible pump suited for dirty water uses, a float switch for automation, as well as a disinfector to remove potential disease-causing microorganisms and make the water safe for irrigation.

Usage and Installation Guidelines
- Greywater must be used within 24 hours to prevent bacterial growth and requires disinfection for safe re-use.
- Before you install a greywater system you will need to isolate your greywater drainage.
- For simple and efficient distribution of the treated greywater to your garden, we recommend connecting a 20mm hose and a pyramid sprinkler to the outlet of your Greywater Mini or or Greywater Basic.
- We recommend that the tank overflow is connected to the property sewer line for utilisation when the tank gets too full, or when system maintenance is required.
Important Things to Note
- These systems have been designed to treat greywater which includes water from washing machines, bathroom basins, baths and showers. This water carries a lower organic load and can be reused for irrigation with minimal processing.
- If the desired outcome is to recycle all of your wastewater (including blackwater from kitchen drains and water containing human waste), we recommend installing a wastewater treatment plant instead as this will require further treatment before the water can be safely reused.
- Our domestic greywater systems are for small-scale applications and cater for up to 10 people (calculated at 200 litres generated per person per day), for larger solutions wastewater treatment plants are better suited.
